ROLE:
Content Designer & Strategist
WHAT IS THE ZONZON APP?
It’s a community-building app that connects residents with their neighbors, managers or HOA board of directors, and vendors in their communities.
GOALS:
Unify the brand’s content, optimize the landing page, and increase the number of app downloads.
ACTION:
I worked with the CEO to establish the Voice and Tone guidelines. We crafted a story-driven landing page with the CTO and the Lead Product Designer. Furthermore, I directed the Marketing Specialist to produce content for the app, website, and social media channels.
RESULTS:
Improved app downloads by 15%, gained additional vendors (real estate salespersons), and increased site traffic by 35%.
VOICE & TONE GUIDELINES:
Voice:
- Positivity is the fuel that powers the Zonzon engine. Before we step on the gas, we would like to provide a clear path to distinguish our voice and tone. How you say things can vary based on your speech pattern, volume, and intention.
- Moreover, the tone of voice often changes when interacting with different audiences. Otherwise, you'd be the monotone person everyone tries to avoid for fear of a stagnant conversation.
- Since Zonzon speaks with different audiences, our optimistic voice remains constant, but our tone will vary based on the topic.
- At Zonzon, we've lived the experience our members are currently experiencing; thus, we have first-hand experience of what they are going through. Simply put, we speak their language and know how stepping into their shoes or flip-flops feels.
- Nevertheless, our lived experience may vary from our members; we are optimistic that we could provide an app experience that would make them feel at home through positivity.
- We believe that humor helps spread positivity, so we aspire to provide a sprinkle of humor with our positive message.
- Sometimes, we don't know the answer to your questions, but we will do our best to seek help from professionals who can help provide solutions that satisfy your curiosity.
Tone:
- Zonzon's tone is usually friendly and casual, though we sometimes drop a funny line or two. Words can be lost in translation, especially if punctuations need to be addressed or showered in abundance.
